Al Ain, parts of UAE experience freezing weather
DUBAI - The National Centre of Meteorology forecast cooler temperatures to continue in the UAE as remote areas of Al Ain and other emirates experienced freezing weather earlier in the week. On Saturday and Sunday, freezing temperatures of -5° Celsius was recorded in the northern areas of Al Ain, with frozen droplets of water forming icicles on plants and other shrubs.UAE Storm Centre took footage of the ice build-up on shrubs in Raknah, Al Ain. Temperatures in the area plunged to -5° Celsius on Monday morning (January 11), causing icicles to form on parked cars, trees and plants. On Monday, the UAE weather bureau forecast temperatures to dip to 2° Celsius in internal areas and 5° Celsius in mountainous areas.
