The project also includes road widening from three to six lanes in each direction, six main interchanges, and the construction of bridges and ramps stretching to 11.5km.
The project will cover the improvement of six key junctions along with Emirates Road, Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, Nad Al Sheba Road, Al Meydan Road, and Ras Al Khor Road.
The road project will be able to shorten the 16-minute travel time from the Ras Al Khor Road intersection to the Emirates Road intersection to eight minutes during peak time as well as solve traffic snarls that used to span two kilometres.
The Dubai-Al Ain Road Improvement Project will be able to benefit 1.5 million living or working on both sides of the road as well as the 25 universities and colleges in the area.
In connection with the Dubai-Al Ain Road improvement Project, several improvement projects in the area are currently underway that will soon serve beneficial for residents in the emirate. KSO/Expat Media
