Singer's sophomore album to be released this year

  NEW ZEALAND - After a three-year absence from the music scene, New Zealand pop singer Lorde is back and has released a dance track. Lorde, who is now 20 years old and whose real name is Ella Yelich-O'Connor, unveiled "Green Light", which will be part of her second album "Melodrama". The album will be released in the coming months. Lorde's last album "Pure Heroine" was released in 2013 and it included the hit song "Royals", which won for her the Grammys best pop solo performance in 2014 at the age of 17. "Green Light' was written by Lorde and Jack Antonoff, frontman of the Bleachers band. She said she spent the past 18 months working on her new album with Antonoff as collaborator. Meanwhile, Lorde will performing at the Coachella music festival next month in Indio, California, along with Lady Gaga, Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar.
