Abu Dhabi set for fight event featuring Mayweather and MMA legend Anderson Silva

  DUBAI – Fight fans are in for a night of action in Abu Dhabi as it hosts a fight event featuring boxing champion Floyd Mayweather and MMA legend Anderson Silva on Saturday (May 21). Mayweather returns to the ring on Yas Island’s Etihad Arena for the boxing exhibition fight against Don Moore, his former sparring partner. “I am excited to participate in this event,” said Moore in a press release. “Because of how much of the same training I received from Roger Mayweather, I am gonna be able to give Floyd real problems. I have been training hard to show everyone what ‘Dangerous’ Don Moore is all about and expose Floyd’s weaknesses. This is my shot, The time is now, Floyd isn’t invincible. Anyone can be beaten.” The fight card will also feature another bout between MMA legend Silva and UAE champion Bruno Machado. The event will also see a WBC title fight between champion and Belgian legend Delfine Persoon and undefeated champion Elhem Mekhaled for the vacant WBC Silver Belt. Former World Champion in two weight classes Badou Jack will fight Hany Atiyo in a clash of warriors that have roots here in the UAE. ICA/Expat Media
