Heavy trucks and vehicles are temporarily banned on Abu Dhabi roadways on the first day of Eid Al Fitr. According to Abu Dhabi Police, trucks and buses carrying 50 or more employees will be prohibited from entering the city between 1am and noon on Monday (May 2). Furthermore, only logistical support trucks and garbage collection services are allowed. The temporary ban applies to all main roads and streets, such as the Sheikh Zayed Bridge, the Sheikh Khalifa Bridge, the Mussafah Bridge, and the Al Maqta Bridge. According to police, security and road patrol will be enhanced on all routes. Traffic movements will also be monitored by smart systems.
