UAE: 3-year-old critically ill child's wish granted thanks to Police, Make-A-Wish Foundation

Omar, a severely ill three-year-old from Al Ain, gets his goal of wearing a police uniform and driving a car with the force's logo granted. On April 29, the 'Make A Wish' Foundation UAE and Abu Dhabi police surprised Omar with an incredible surprise in honor of World Wish Day. First, a Foundation crew dressed in a police costume appeared at Omar's house. To his surprise, a few police officers showed up in his doorway by the time he put on the outfit. The officers saluted Omar and led him to their police vehicle for inspection. Little Omar was handed an electric car with a police insignia as soon as he stepped out of the van, which he had coveted for some time. As officers and the Foundation team watched, an ecstatic Omar put the car through its paces in his front yard. In a statement, the Foundation said: “We thank and appreciate Abu Dhabi Police for promoting happiness, hope, and joy in the hearts of community members. Fulfilling a wish may take a few hours but it leaves a wonderful impact on the hearts of children with serious illnesses. It makes them feel special and happy during their difficult treatment period.” KMB/Expat Media
