Special Filipino mass on June 12 in Dubai as St. Mary's Church marks Philippine Independence Day

  The St. Mary’s Church in Dubai will hold a thanksgiving mass to mark the 124th Philippine Independence day on June 12. The thanksgiving mass will start at 12:30pm on June 12 (Sunday), and is being celebrated in collaboration with the Filipino Social Club in Dubai. The Filipino Social Club is inviting Filipino expatriate Catholics to attend the mass. “Feel free to wear Barong Tagalog or Filipiniana,” the club urged. The Filipino Social Club is organizing a Philippine Independence Day celebration at the Dubai World Trade Center on June 25, in deference to the 40-day mourning period over the death of the UAE’s Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
