Man with his daughter lost in Hatta mountains, rescued

Hatta Police Station, in collaboration with the Dubai Police Air Wing, recently rescued two hikers who became disoriented while trekking in Hatta and became lost on top of a mountain. The dad and his daughter were completely weary and were unable to finish the journey. According to Colonel Mubarak Al Ketbi, Director of Hatta Police Station, a British woman filed a report with the Smart Police Station (SPS) in Hatta, requesting police assistance in locating her husband and child after they wandered off-trail while trekking in the hilly terrain. He continued that she reported that her husband and daughter were unable to ascertain their whereabouts or continue walking. Col. Al Ketbi pointed out that once they received the report from the SPS in Hatta, the mountain rescue team, "Brave Team", and the duty officer rushed to the area and started the search process to determine the location of the man and his daughter, and he stated that the "Brave Team" successfully managed to find their location, ensures that the man and daughter are in safe and stable condition. Colonel Abdullah Rashid Al-Hafeet, Deputy Director of the Hatta Police Station, revealed that the father and daughter had become exhausted and were unable to continue walking, necessitating air rescue help to remove them out of the hilly trail. "However, due to high rugged terrain and scattering pebbles whenever the helicopter approached, rescue patrols had to assist the father and daughter reach the top of the mountain so the Air Wing could rescue them and take them to the ambulance", he added. Hatta Police Station's Director acknowledged that the station is prepared to respond professionally to all emergency reports, regardless of whether they occur in hilly areas, valleys, or other terrains. To protect their safety at all times, he urged the public to take safety precautions and stick to mountain hiking and walking pathways. Col. Al Ketbi also asked residents to phone the Dubai Police Command and Control Center at 999 in the event of an emergency and to offer an accurate location to aid in the rescue of those who are in need. He went on to say that Hatta's Smart Police Station (SPS) provides policing services to the public in seven different languages 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, without the need for human interaction.
