Hottest day in UAE this week with 49°C temperature

Temperatures in the UAE are going to get hotter on Tuesday (June 7), with mercury expected to hit a maximum of 49°C, according to the weather bureau. Internal areas will experience temperatures of between 44°C and 49°C, while coastal areas and islands will see temperatures of between 42°C and 45°C, according to the National Centre of Meteorology. The hottest temperature ever recorded in the UAE was 52.1°C. in July 2002. This week, the UAE is expected to face a heat wave that is also affecting other parts of the world. Here’s the weather forecast for the next five days.

Tuesday, June 7

Hot and fair in general. Some clouds will appear over the East especially over the mountains. Light to moderate winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust during daytime. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Wednesday, June 8

Hot and fair in general. Some clouds will appear over the East especially over the mountains. Humid by night and Thursday morning over some coastal areas. Light to moderate Southeasterly becoming to Northwesterly winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust during daytime, with a speed of 10 – 25 reaching 35 km/hr. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Thursday, June 9

Hot and fair in general and partly cloudy Eastward at times. Light to moderate Southeasterly becoming Northwesterly winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust during daytime, with a speed of 10 – 25 reaching 35 km/hr. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Friday, June 10

Hot and dusty at times. Light to moderate Southwesterly to Northwesterly winds, becoming fresh especially over the sea Westward causing blowing and suspended dust, with a speed of 15 – 30 reaching 40 km/hr. The sea will be slight to moderate becoming rough gradually by night in the Arabian Gulf and slight in Oman Sea.

Saturday, June 11

Dusty and hot in general during daytime. Some low clouds will appear over East coast by morning. Temperatures decrease gradually over some Western coastal areas. Moderate to fresh Northwesterly winds in general and Easterly over the East coast causing blowing and suspended dust reducing the horizontal visibility, with a speed of 15 – 30 reaching 40 km/hr. The sea will be rough especially Westward in the Arabian Gulf and moderate becoming rough at times in Oman Sea.
