Sharjah intensifies inspections for fire hazards after factory blaze

  The Sharjah Civil Defence intensified inspections on Thursday (June 9) for potential fire hazards in the emirate as part of efforts to minimize fire accidents during the summer. This came after a massive fire broke out in a paint factory in the Hamriya area on Wednesday (June 8). According to Sharjah Civil Derence, its target is to bring the number of fire accidents in the emirate to zero. Officials will be conducting surprise inspections and regular inspections of residential buildings, commercial establishments and industrial areas. The emirate will also intensify an awareness campaign to educate the public about fire safety regulations and precautions. ICA/Expat Media
