POLO Dubai to begin online contract verification on June 20

The Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Dubai (POLO Dubai) will begin implementing an online system for contract verification on June 20, the agency announced on Tuesday (June 14). The system will be on pilot stage and will be limited to 300 applicants per form, according to POLO Dubai. It follows a surge of Filipinos applying for contract verification services at POLO Dubai in recent months. “The online submission system is supplementary to our present appointment system and aims to lessen the number of applicants every Friday. This will not replace the current systems,” according to POLO Dubai. Successful applicants will still need to visit POLO Dubai for payment and to claim their verified contracts. The online submission form will be opened for access to the public on designated dates via polodubaiportal.org. The first online form will go live on the POLO Dubai website on June 20 for those with confirmed flights from July 9 to 12. The link will be available for 48 hours, or when the system reaches 300 submissions. Applicants must have valid employment visa issued in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras al Khaimah or Fujairah and a valid confirmed flight schedule falling on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday as indicated on the form. For those with flights from July 16 to 18, an online form will go live on the POLO Dubai website on June 27. For those with flights from July 23 to 25, the form will be available on July 4. More schedules will be announced in due course. Applicants need to answer the online form and upload the required documents. They will then wait for an email notice from POLO Dubai. Approved applicants will be sent a schedule to visit POLO Dubai for payment of the verification fee and to claim their verified contract. Those with disapproved applications will receive further instructions on how to correct it, or visit POLO Dubai on the nearest working day before their flight. Applicants whose visas are issued in Abu Dhabi or Al Ain will be automatically rejected if they apply through the POLO Dubai link. They need to file their application through POLO Abu Dhabi.
