Dubai RTA reveals 99.97% of taxi trips were complaint-free

99.97% of taxi trips in Dubai were complaint-free, says RTA

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) recently announced that 99.97% of taxi trips in Dubai were complaint-free. The rate of complaints was only 0.03% out of a total of 88.9 million trips carried out in 2021. “This decrease in the rate of taxi complaints is indicative of the effective plans and strategies of RTA to leverage this important sector and improve the taxi riders' experience in Dubai," said Adel Shakri, Director of Planning and Business Development, Public Transport Agency, RTA. The results demonstrate RTA's continuous efforts in improving the performance of the taxi sector and raising the satisfaction and happiness of riders in Dubai. The taxi fleet is composed of 11,000 taxis driven by drivers who are continuously trained on how to improve customers’ service. These drivers are considered ambassadors who reflect the image of Dubai to the world and represent RTA as a pioneering government entity in sustainable transport and other innovative services.
