Indian couple found dead in Sharjah apartment

  An elderly Indian couple were found dead in an apartment in Sharjah, according to police on Wednesday (May 25). Police have not ruled out suicide. An investigation into the deaths is ongoing. Social workers identified the couple as Javed and Farhat Fatima, who were in their seventies. The deceased were from Mumbai. They reportedly worked as doctors. Authorities said the couple were found hanging inside their son’s apartment in the Al Nabba area of Sharjah on Tuesday afternoon. Their son, who is also a doctor, discovered their bodies and notified police. The case has been registered at Al Garb police station. ICA/Expat Media
