Filipino hangs 2 children on Christmas day after wife commits suicide

  MANILA – A Filipino man is facing charges of parricide after hanging his two children in their home in Taguig City on Christmas Day (December 25), according to a police official. The suspect, Aiko Siacunco, 29, reportedly hanged his children, aged 3 and 1, the morning after his wife committed suicide on Christmas eve. Taguig City Police Chief Col. Celso Rodriguez said that Siacuno also tried to commit suicide by drinking bleach and hanging himself, but the rope broke. Siacuno later surrendered to the police following the incident. According initial police investigation, the Filipino suffered depression after losing his job. He also reportedly had a feud with his father and siblings, which caused a conflict with his wife.
