Sheikh Mohammed donated 400 million meals to 1 Billion Meals campaign
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai concluded the One Billion Meals campaign with his personal donation of 400 million meals on Wednesday (April 27). The campaign had been successful with 600 million meals contributed by institutions, companies, businessmen, and 320,000 individuals, aside from Sheikh Mohammed’s personal support. The one billion meals will be distributed to the needy and the vulnerable people across 50 countries around the world. The Dubai Ruler wrote in his official Twitter post that the largest humanitarian initiative has reflected the values of the UAE and of its citizens.“Our people are benevolent, our society is generous, and we are keen to show solidarity with our fellow human beings facing hardships wherever they are,” he added.
